Article 1. Responsible Gambling Definition

JILICC defines responsible gambling as a gambler participating in gaming activities being able to act in a manner that they do not pose a threat to the well-being of their individual self, their family, their relatives, and other gamblers participating within and without the platform. Responsible gambling is better defined as gambling in a socially acceptable level and involves being free from risk of bankruptcy.

Article 2. Responsible Gambling Training

Promoting responsible gambling practices is a long-term obligation and all parties must cooperate with one another to be able to produce results. As such, JILICC staff is trained to be aware of responsible gambling practices, the tendencies for problem gambling practices or gambling disorders, and measures to prevent minors from accessing and using the platform’s services. Our staff is also well-versed in the available responsible gambling support services available in the country and can assist troubled users to receive the necessary support.

Article 3. Legal Gambling Age

JILICC actively prohibits minors from participating in the platform by requiring users to verify their account details before they can actively proceed to participate in the platform. If a user is found to be underaged and have managed to participate in the platform, then all the winnings credited to the account will be confiscated by the platform and JILICC reserves the right to terminate the offending account. This also applies for when an account registered to a valid individual is used by a minor.

JILICC advises all registered users to keep their accounts secure from any minors at home and to use third-party software to monitor the internet use of a certain individual when using the computer at set times or when using other profiles in the device.

Article 4. Responsibilities in Gambling in the Platform

In addition to the platform’s responsibilities, the user is also responsible for their own gaming habits and the prevention of minors from accessing the platform and their accounts. 

Restricting Minor Access

JILICC has the following suggestions for gamblers to keep minors from accessing the platform:

  • Keep minors from watching the user playing
  • Use a password to lock the computer when leaving it unattended while logged into the platform
  • Use age protection software in the computer
  • Never share any information regarding login credentials and payment methods

Paying Attention to Signs of Problem Gambling

Before playing in the platform, consider the following before placing another deposit:

  • Will I be able to go to school or work after gambling?
  • Am I gambling to escape boredom?
  • Am I gambling to have a source of income?
  • Am I fixated on winning back my losses?
